Dignity Apparel is more than just a business. CEO Josh Ruyle, talks about our mission, why we exist and our goals for the future!
US clothing manufacturing has decreased by 80% over the past three decades and the global garment industry has taken over, often with disastrous results including forced/child labor and environmental destruction. We want to revive the industry in the USA so Americans can still buy American-made clothing all while creating high-quality union jobs.
In recent years, most unionized clothing factories in the US have shut down or stopped serving the union market. At Dignity Apparel our mission is to create dignified, life-changing jobs where everyone can realize their full potential in a safe environment with fair wages and benefits. We’ve hired 19 workers so far and our goal is to create at least 25 total jobs in 2022.
